About

A small consultancy, on purpose.

AL Software Consulting, Inc. is the independent practice of Adam Lundrigan, a software engineer based in St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador, who has spent the last 20 years building business process software across eLearning, scientific computing, email security, sports leagues, e-commerce, and CRM.

Why this exists

Twenty years inside production systems, in industries that different, makes one pattern hard to unsee: businesses paying enterprise prices for software they use a fraction of, while their staff quietly route around it with spreadsheets and inbox folders. The software was supposed to serve the process. Somewhere along the way, it became the process.

AI-assisted engineering finally makes the alternative economical: lean, bespoke tools shaped to how a business actually works, owned by the business, at a cost that undercuts the subscriptions they replace. ALSC exists to do that dissection-and-rebuild work properly — with the judgment of a senior engineer, not just the speed of the tooling.

How we engage

Deliberately small. You work directly with the person doing the analysis and the engineering — no account managers, no hand-offs to a bench of juniors. Engagements are scoped tightly, priced plainly, and designed so you keep everything if we stop after any phase.

Based in St. John's, working with businesses anywhere in North America. Remote-first, on-site when the process mapping calls for it.
