The failure mode we exist to fix is buying software and then bending the business around it. So every engagement runs the other direction: understand the work, realign it, and only then decide what to build.

The four phases

Dissect

We sit with the people who do the work and map the process as it actually runs — the workarounds, the shadow spreadsheets, the "email Sharon and she knows what to do" steps. We inventory every tool touching the process and what it really costs: licenses, seats, and the hours spent working around it.

Realign

With the real process on the table, we redesign it around what the business needs — not what any product happens to offer. Then we spec the leanest tooling that serves it: what to keep, what to drop, what to build. Each recommendation comes with an honest cost comparison against the status quo.

Build

We build small: focused tools that do one job well, on boring, proven technology that any competent developer can pick up later. AI-assisted engineering keeps builds measured in weeks, not quarters. New tools run alongside the old system until your team trusts them.

Own

Handover is a deliverable, not an afterthought: source code in your repositories, infrastructure in your accounts, documentation written for the next person. Then you pick how it stays fresh: your team takes it over entirely, your team extends it with AI-assisted tooling under our expert oversight, or we keep maintaining and extending it ourselves. You can switch between them whenever you like.

What we hold ourselves to

  • Process before software. If the fix is a process change and a spreadsheet, that's the recommendation.
  • Small tools over big platforms. Several sharp tools beat one product with a thousand settings nobody understands.
  • You own everything. Code, data, infrastructure, documentation. No lock-in to your vendors — and none to us.
  • Boring technology. Bespoke doesn't mean exotic. We build on stacks with decades of life left in them.
  • Measured outcomes. Every build starts with the number it's supposed to move — license spend, hours saved, error rate — and we check it afterwards.
